Wes Linscott

Tender:

USS Hunley (AS-31)

Comments:

I served aboard Hunley from February 1976 until January 1980. It was my first command following a period of broken service after my first four years. I was in CR Division, working in Radio Central. I came aboard as RM3 and left as RM1. I made the transit from Charleston to Guam via Rio, Straits of Magellan, Valpariso, and Pearl Harbor. It was good duty.

Tina Richard

Tender:

USS Hunley (AS-31)

Comments:

I was on the Hunley from 88-90 and I had a blast. It was great working in deck department for a short time then I switched over to being a quartermaster. I hated working with numbers in school but being a quartermaster was a blast and it was nice working closely with the captain and exo. I met some great folks on board and if any one would like to get a hold of me please e-mail me and I will get back to you!!!

Comments:

Good times on both tenders, a lot of fine work was accomplished with some dedicated young folks. A shame such ships as these are no longer utilized.
